HISTORY OF E.Moonbeam Vintage ~
December 2012 / January 2013 - Eliza Moonbeam Vintage started in Wichita, KS. After a really rough year, I decided to finally start working on something I had been wanting to do for a long time. After years and years of accumulating beautiful vintage gems, I decided it was high time to share them all with the rest of you! Combining my passion for photography, fashion and treasure hunting - Eliza Moonbeam Vintage was born.

May 2013 - the shop was slowly getting on it's feet - I was still learning all the basics (still learning to this day!) I wasn't selling too much yet and had a very small amount of items for sale. I hopped on the train (amtrak) with 2 suitcases and moved to Chicago! The rest of 2013 was spent in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, living in a garage.

January 2014, Eliza Moonbeam Vintage made another move to the Bridgeport neighborhood in Chicago, spending the bulk of 2014 there.

December 2014 - we packed up the entire shop and our belongings in our 1982 Toyota Dolphin and headed to Kansas for a month, then went south, all the way to Florida afterwards. Spending lengthy time in San Antonio, New Orleans, and the Tampa area. Running the shop while living in an RV was very interesting to say the least. We slept in parking lots, camping grounds and shipped out vintage goodies from 7 different states! The trip ended with a dead RV, but it was all worth it. I am so thankful for my partner in crime, Mike. I wouldn't be able to do all of this crazy stuff without him.

April 2015 - Eliza Moonbeam Vintage settled back into Chicago in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. See photos / more info on our adventures here: azaraheells.tumblr.com

March 2016: Eliza Moonbeam Vintage opened IRL!!! A cozy little storefront, sharing a space with an incredible event planner and rental business, Details. After starting the shop in a small apartment in Wichita, Kansas, to running it in the garage of a funeral home in Chicago, and then an RV on the road. (with a couple other places in between!) We are currently back in Hutchinson, Kansas and enjoying some much needed stability. Who knows where life will take us next!

March 2020- After exactly 4 years of having a storefront in downtown Hutchinson, KS we have officially closed the the brick & mortar. Bittersweet, but looking forward to the future!!!

I am CONSTANTLY searching for new items to put in the shop. It's a true passion and I am very thankful to be able to do this as my job.  If you have vintage items that you think I'd be interested in, feel free to email me some photos or stop by in person! Thank you to all of you AMAZING customers. You are true gems. Thanks for shopping small, and shopping vintage!!
